Who We Are

Get to Know St. John

At St. John Missionary Baptist Church, we are a Christ-centred, Spirit-filled, community-focused congregation committed to worship, fellowship, and service. We are proud to be affiliated with the National Baptist Convention, standing on the Word of God and answering the call to reach the lost, strengthen the saved, and impact our community for Christ.

We believe in creating a warm, welcoming environment, whether you’re seeking a church home, visiting our area, or simply desiring a closer walk with God, you’ll find a place of open arms and genuine love here.

Our Mission

We live out this mission through three foundational values:

Worshiping Christ

Engaging in authentic, meaningful worship that honours God and renews the heart.

Loving People

Creating genuine relationships, supporting one another, and reaching out beyond our walls.

Changing Lives

Equipping believers to grow spiritually, serve faithfully, and bring transformation to our community.

A church where everyone is loved, faith is strengthened, and lives are transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It reveals His will for humanity and is the final authority for faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all things. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God — fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day. Through His sacrifice, we receive forgiveness and eternal life. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, empowering us to live holy lives, guiding us into truth, and equipping us for ministry and service. (John 14:26; Acts 1:8)

We believe salvation is a gift of grace from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It cannot be earned by good works but is granted by God’s mercy and love. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. We gather for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service to advance God’s kingdom on earth. (1 Corinthians 12:12-14)
